Terms of Service
These are the terms for using HireOn AI ("the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
The service
HireOn AI is a job-search and career-networking tool: it searches jobs, scores them against your resume, tailors applications, tracks your pipeline, and lets you post, message, and connect with other members. It's provided as-is, and features may change or be added without notice.
Your account
You sign in with Google, so you're responsible for keeping that account secure. You're responsible for what you post, message, and upload — don't post anything illegal, harassing, or that you don't have the right to share.
Content you post
You own what you post. By posting it, you give HireOn AI the license needed to display it back to you and (per your visibility settings) to other members — nothing more, and we don't claim ownership of your resume, posts, or profile content.
Job listings
Job listings come from third-party sources (Adzuna, Remotive, Arbeitnow) and are shown as retrieved. We don't guarantee their accuracy, availability, or that any listing is still open — always verify directly with the employer or source site before applying.
The @hireonbot account
The "HireOn AI" bot account posts an automated digest of tech news curated from Hacker News. It's clearly marked as an official, automated account — it does not represent the views of any individual story it links to, and links go to their original third-party source.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service — no scraping at scale, no attempting to break rate limits or authentication, no impersonating another person or organization, no spam.
Termination
You can stop using the service any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Match scores and AI-tailored content are assistive tools, not guarantees — always review anything before submitting it to an employer.
Changes
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above.
