Trust & privacy

Your resume works for you — not the other way round.

How HireOn uses your data, how matching works, and the controls you have. Plain English; the privacy policy is the legal version.

Sign-in with Google

We don’t store passwords. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies over HTTPS.

Analytics only with consent

Product analytics load only after you accept the cookie banner. Decline and they never load.

You control your data

Email us to request an export or deletion of your data — see the privacy policy for how we handle these requests.

No selling of data

We don’t sell your data or use it for third-party advertising (see the privacy policy).

Error monitoring without PII

Crash reports are sent without default personal data so we can fix bugs, not profile you.

Honest tailoring

Tailored resumes only rephrase what your resume already says. HireOn never invents experience.

How matching works

A score you can read, not a black box

  1. Parse — we extract skills, seniority and experience from your resume and from each job description.
  2. Weigh — skills a job lists as required count more than nice-to-haves; seniority and location are compared to your preferences.
  3. Explain — every score shows what matched, what partly matched and what’s missing, so you can decide whether to apply or upskill.
  4. You decide — scores are guidance. Nothing is auto-applied or auto-rejected.

Job listings come from public job sources and company career pages; each listing shows its source.

Vouch Score · concept

A reputation you earn on the job

The Vouch Score (0–1000) is a planned feature, shown with fictional data in the demo. It is designed so every professional — from home services to healthcare to leadership — can prove their track record, and so hirers can trust who they hire.

Earned only from verified hires

Points come from jobs that were hired and completed through HireOn, rated by hirers whose identity is verified. Self-reported work never adds points.

What it measures

Verified jobs completed (250), ratings from verified hirers (200), on-time rate (150), response rate (100), vouches from past employers & colleagues (200), ID & skill verification (100).

Tiers

Getting started under 500 · Rising 500–699 · Trusted 700–849 · Top Vouched 850+. Every profile shows the full breakdown, not just the number.

Anti-gaming rules (planned)

  • ✓ One vouch per real working relationship — only someone who hired or worked with you through a verified job can vouch.
  • ✓ No paid boosts. The score can’t be bought, and paid plans don’t change it.
  • ✓ Reciprocal “I vouch for you, you vouch for me” rings and sudden bursts of ratings are detected and discounted.
  • ✓ Ratings from the same device, phone number or household as the worker don’t count.
  • ✓ Scores slowly decay without recent activity, so they reflect current work.
  • ✓ Workers can dispute an unfair rating; disputes are reviewed by a person and you can appeal.
  • ✓ The score is guidance for hirers — it never auto-rejects anyone.
